showsite
Turns a folder of Markdown files into a website and podcast feed for a podcast or video series, to host anywhere. Open source, in early development.
A show is a folder: one settings file with the show's details and one Markdown file per episode. showsite turns it into a website and a podcast feed.
- A home page with the show's artwork, description and episodes.
- A page per episode with a player, show notes, guests, links and clickable chapters.
- A podcast RSS feed with Apple Podcasts and Podcasting 2.0 tags, chapter files and transcripts.
- A sitemap and social sharing cards on every page.
The look comes from a small set of templates you can change. showsite doesn't host the audio or video; episodes point to media you already have online.
