Project

says

A podcast research tool that runs on your computer: search the shows you follow for who said what, with the episode and the moment it was said. Open source, in early development.

You give says the podcast feeds you follow. It fetches new episodes, uses the publisher's transcript or transcribes the audio on your computer when there isn't one, and builds a search index on your disk.

Search results are short quotes with the speaker, the show, the episode and a link to the moment in the audio. You can label shows by perspective and see results grouped that way.

Status

Early development, version 0.1. Searching feeds that publish transcripts works, and so does importing transcript files; transcribing on your computer works but has had little use. A command-line tool in Python; MIT licence.
