NYC Jazz Legends Perform at Our Office | Track Star* Presents

New Jazz Underground took over the Track Star* studio with a set that blends old-school jazz foundations with a fearless Gen Z spirit. The trio—made up of saxophonist Abdias Armenteros (a familiar face from one of our early episodes), bassist Sebastian Rios, and drummer TJ Reddick—met at Juilliard and first started playing together while busking during the pandemic. Since then, they’ve built a sound that’s equal parts virtuosic, playful, and boundary-pushing. From original compositions like The Pseudo Latin Vibe and Sidetracked to their take on Duke Ellington’s All Too Soon, this episode is a total masterclass.
